This article will explain how to buy and sell parts on Auto Part Hotline.
Chat Mode:
Auto Part Hotline offers you two operating environments to choose from. This first section will provide a quick introduction to the differences between each. The second
section will provide a series of "How do I..." questions along with detailed instructions on how to accomplish the task. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate
to contact us at any time.
Chat Mode:
Chat Mode is the classic Auto Part Hotline experience where you directly interact with other users inside of a chat room. You'll be able to send messages to the chat room,
send private messages to other users, and interact as you always have. When using this mode, it's very important to request all of your parts by clicking the "Request"
button instead of just entering in a chat message. This way, users who are in "Parts Only" mode will still see your requests and be able to send you prices.
You should use Chat Mode if you do not mind seeing non-business related conversations in the chat.

Parts Only Mode:
Parts Only mode is a new option where you will only see part requests as they come in from other users. You won't see the chat room nor any of the non-requests or personal chatter, but you will be able to send and receive private messages
from other users. Parts Only mode can be entered by opening the menu at the top of the screen and selecting "Parts Mode Only".
You should use Parts Only mode if you only want to buy and sell parts and do not want to see non-business related conversations in the chat.

When you run parts by clicking the "Request" button, the parts appear on the Part Request Board and are available to users in Chat mode as well as those in Parts Only mode. Additionally, when parts are ran via the Parts Request board, the system automatically keeps track of all prices you receive for the part even if you were not logged in when you received the price! This helps you make sure you never miss a price, and also helps your fellow users make sure they never miss an opportunity to sell a part.
